Service is personable . Ambiance is relaxing. Staff taking order was welcoming and kind in spite of being very busy taking orders during rush hour ( NOON). Weekends are likely always busy & with reason !!! Food is delicious... fresh and tasty thank you CHEF Nico !! Order: Ahi salad My kalani Side of poke Dragon fruit lemonade A side of spam masubi bites to go ! Everything was delicious. Ahi salad: 10/10 Ahi was seared to perfection , it was the perfect salad combo that included rice and Hawaiian mac salad Side of POKE 10/10 : incredibly delicious and my favorite!!!!! My Kalani 10/10: this dish came with white rice, side of mac salad, sausage, shredded pork , and all this is topped by two 2 perfectly seared eggs that were not oily , no runny whites and medium well done egg yolk ... meaning the yolk was half cooked half runny and I loved it ( bonus point) . Hawaiian style shredded pork did not disappoint .It was tasty, tender and moist. Mac salad was good and so was the rice. The only thing I did not taste was the sausage but I will taste it later :) . Highly recommend you try it all, especially the poke which my favorite ordered item! Thank you Leilani's Cafe

Craving an at home Hawaiian style breakfast this is the place and you won't regret it. This is by far one of my top breakfast spots that I've personally have been going to since I was a kid. The service is always welcoming no matter how busy they are and the vibes inside and outside feel like you're eating at home. The food is always consistently good and the prices are unmatched. If you're in Pacific Beach it's a must try food spot and chat with all of the SD locals!

Leilani's was very close to my AirBnb, easy to find free street parking, located in what looks like a house, with only outdoor service, plenty of seats. I ordered the Kalua pork and rice plate with 2 eggs, Mac salad, and Portuguese sausage, which came out to $16 with tax. It came out fast. Tasted authentic, portion was relatively big, and was enjoyable. Love the presentation of the menu and space with the colors. They also have a lot of options for drinks and brunch items. Would recommend a visit here!

Huge fan of Leilani's! Good food, good value, and friendly staff! I went twice on my most recent trip to San Diego. We ordered: -loco moco $12 -mango tea refresher $4.50 -haffle $9.75 -acai smoothie $7 -musubi $7 Everything is really great! Seating outside only. Street parking only. I'll be back soon!

Love coming here for brunch feels like we are back in Hawaii again. My go to is their Hilo Loco Moco. It is so good the patty is perfectly cooked with just the right amount of gravy. They have have great spam masubi. Food and service is already great here and there decent amount of tables to enjoy your meal outside. It's also a plus that they are dog friendly.

"This is an outstanding spot for a Hawaiian breakfast that captures the essence of island flavors and hospitality. The outdoor seating is casual and relaxed, perfect for soaking up the morning sun while enjoying your meal. Ordering is straightforward and quick, making the process easy and efficient. Their coffee options are varied and delicious, catering to all preferences. We particularly enjoyed the Loco Moco, a classic Hawaiian dish that combines savory flavors with a hearty presentation. The Spicy Fried Rice was another standout, offering a delightful kick that added depth to the dish. Both options were flavorful and satisfying, leaving us eager to return for more. Whether you're looking for a laid-back breakfast spot or a taste of Hawaii, this place is a must-try."

I'm originally from Hawaii so I was so happy to see this place! This was my first time here so I wanted a variety. I decided to try the My Kalani (kalua pig, rice, Portuguese sausage, egg, and mac salad. It was the perfect combo that made me feel like I was home. It was a pretty big portion also! Service was great! They knew it was my first time so explained how things worked. It's all street parking but there are many options in the area. You might have to park residential but no problem parking close by. I believe that it's 2 hour parking along Cass. You order at the window and if you elect to dine in, they only have outdoor seating. They did mention that they plan on opening an indoor dining area very soon. There are many tables and chairs outside but it can get iffy if it's a cooler, drizzly day. I will definitely be back to try more items on the menu.
